An educational visit was organized to the Physiotherapy Department of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College and Hospital, Sangli, for third-year Medical Electronics students. The objective of the visit was to understand the role of physiotherapy in-patient rehabilitation and to study the biomedical equipment used in physiotherapy treatments. The department is equipped with modern Physiotherapy equipment.
During the visit, students observed the following physiotherapy equipment:
- TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) Unit
- Ultrasound Therapy Unit
- Interferential Therapy (IFT) Machine
- Short Wave Diathermy (SWD)
- Infrared Radiation (IRR) Lamp
- Laser Therapy Unit
- Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) Machine
- Electrical Muscle Stimulator (EMS)
- Traction Unit
