The objective of the visit was to study the functioning of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and the Waste Management Department at Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College and Hospital, Sangli. Students observed critical care equipment such as ventilators, patient monitors, infusion pumps, and defibrillators, along with biomedical waste segregation, treatment, and disposal systems including autoclaves and incinerators. The visit enhanced their understanding of hospital equipment management, infection control, and safe biomedical waste handling practices.
